Shawn Golhar
In addition to his work with Global PACT, Shawn is a public finance banker with Barclays Capital in the Los Angeles office. In this role, he provides financial expertise to the full range of public sector clients, including state and local governments, non-profit organizations, and public authorities.
Shawn Golhar was been integral member of Global PACT International, Inc. since the organization’s inception in 2002. Not only did he help teach and implement the inaugural programs in Mongolia (2002) and Croatia (2004), Shawn has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2007. In addition to his work with Global PACT, Shawn is a public finance banker with Barclays Capital in the Los Angeles office. In this role, he provides financial expertise to the full range of public sector clients, including state and local governments, non-profit organizations, and public authorities.
In addition to Global PACT, Shawn serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Domestic & International Affairs, Inc. (IDIA), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing civic education programs to high school students. Lastly, Shawn serves as the Alumni Vice President for the Class of 2001 at Rutgers College and on the Board of Directors for a private biotechnology company, Golhar Life Sciences LLC (GLS).
After earning his BA degree in economics and political science from Rutgers University in 2001, Shawn worked as a business consultant in New York. After two years of consulting, he attended the Harvard Kennedy School where he graduated with his Master in Public Policy (MPP) degree. During his summer at Harvard, Shawn worked in Washington, DC for Ashoka, a non-profit dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs around the world.
