Lauren is a graduate of Rutgers University and a founding member of Global PACT. She was a trainer for our first program in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, co-authored the first Global PACT manual and curriculum, and was Senior Trainer for our first program in Zagreb, Croatia. She also directed multiple Global PACT conferences at Rutgers University and in New Jersey.
She has spent much of the past three years in West Africa, first as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Fouta Djallon region of Guinea, and then as Savings & Literacy Coordinator for the American Refugee Committee in Sierra Leone. While working with refugee communities and the rural poor, she drew on much of her experience with Global PACT, teaching business skills, microenterprise management, and community development. Lauren will be joining us as Senior Trainer this summer in South Africa, before beginning law school at Yale University.
